Billy Baaab and His Truck PRINT

In 2005 we moved from Colorado to South Carolina – quite a change of scenery and culture indeed. Billy Baaab was representational for the mind-set we encountered in many people around us here. In fact, I’d wager to say that where we live now has the highest percentage of Billy Baaabs in the nation. They are nice Billy Baaabs though – always ready to greet us, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a tall glass of sweet iced tea on the front porch.
That Billy Baaab smokes seems to bother many people. It just goes to show that things change slowly here, including changes to the perception of healthy living. To the Billy Baaabs around us, corporate wheeling and dealings are lot more dangerous than smoking some cigarettes. They could be right. And no, I don’t smoke. And, as far as I know, the sheep outside don’t either.
